 As a campus educator at a school for children aged 6 to 12, I organize the children's leisure activities and take care of lunch. During the summer holiday program in 2017, card games were a huge hit. However, some of these games had names that are now considered offensive and politically incorrect. We quickly renamed these games in front of the children to "Hello" or "OK" or simply gave them new, invented names. One game that was particularly popular with the children was a mix of luck and strategy. The gameplay required foresight but also offered surprising moments of luck – the perfect balance!  Bold vs. Subtle: A Design Dilemma in Card Game Creation Creating a card game is a lot more than just coming up with fun rules. It's about the entire experience, and that includes the visual design of the cards. Recently, while working on my game "High & Low - Card Game", I found myself agonizing over one seemingly small detail: the design of the number ten. One of the key cards in the deck is, of course, the ten. It's a high value, and I wanted it to stand out. However, I quickly realized that there were many ways to make it stand out. The image above shows two of the options I was considering. On the left, you see a ten with a bold, almost explosive design. The numbers are thick and impactful, giving the card a sense of power. On the right, the ten is more subtle, with a thinner frame and a slightly more refined look. Ultimately, I decided to go with a design that was even thinner than the one on the right. Launch Date 1st of April 2025!

Yes it's true we have a launch date: 1st of April 2025! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/highandlow/high-and-low-card-game After long eight months of peperaing things,  lots organisation, test plays, rule adjustments, building a community we finally  have a launch date. We think - now we are ready for the campaign to go live.
